Career Counselor Kelly Kowatch of SI Career Services has been named the recipient of the Rosalie Ginsberg Award for Community Service & Social Action as an outstanding staff member at the University. Each year, the Ginsberg Center recognizes members of the U-M community and community partners who have committed themselves to service and social action.
The award cites Kelly for demonstrated excellence in creating, developing, or sustaining opportunities for community service, social action, and learning. At SI, she is instrumental in the success of the Alternative Spring Break program by serving as its coordinator.
All are invited to a reception and awards ceremony beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, April 17 in the Michigan Union Pendleton Room.
The Ginsberg Center offers programs and serves as a resource for students, staff, and faculty at the University of Michigan interested in community service.
